Is 40 The New Peak in Pro Sports and 50 the New Barrier.

45 years young
Jaromir Jagr
1
How can this guy not be number 1? He's the best player in his team, a MVP contender last season and is currently again leading his team in points Jaromir is the kind of guy that always improves at something every year, whether it's on the ice or when he is training Jagr always looks to improve. I can't see him move from the number 1 spot for awhile yet. Though it defiantly sets a challenge for other Athelete's to try and knock him off.

Jamie Bestwick
45 years young
2
Jamie show's what 45 should probably look like, You couldn't tell his age if you tried, probably the fittest guy on tour by far, The 2016 X-Games games gold medalist and World number 1 in BMX Vert just keps getting better. I can see Jamie being chased as the world number 1 for a while yet.

Kelly Slater
45 years young
3
If you count Kelly out of winning another World Title then you may just have to eat those words because the surfing champion just came off his best season since winning the 2011 World Title. Slater may not have won the title this year but he pulled off new maneuvers this year that we have never seen from the surfing champion. Watch out for Slater in 2017 because I have a feeling it could be a good year,

Dennis McCoy
50 years young
4
If Dennis turned his X-Games Bronze into a Gold in Austin Texas last year he may have been the only one hat we may have considered to be number 1 over Jagr, well probably not but he would have gone number 2. Dennis still won Bronze with a run that probably would have got Gold in any other year. Over the last 5 years McCoy just seems to get better and better. Watch his Bronze Medal run here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PJWuINfkQA

Mike Stewart
54 years young
5
If bodyboarding got the same publicity as surfing and we think it should, Bodyboarding legend Mike Stewart would most likely be a household name around the world. He is that well respected not just on the bodyboarding scene but on the surfing scene also, fans of both sports admire him while aspiring bodyboarders just want to be like him.
In the super strong Professional circuit Stewart finished the year 9th. But watching Stewart Bodyboard you will see why a 2017 World title isn't out of reach for the champion.

Sabine Spitz
46 years young
6
Pro Mountain Biker Sabine Spitz is another Pro Athlete that prove that 40's is youth when it comes to Pro Sports, the facts are I am not sure if Sabine has peaked yet. Spitz keeps finding a way to get back to the top and improving. Currently ranked in the top 10 in the world, don't be surprised if you see Spitz back to number 1 by the end of the year.

Ned Overend
62 years young
7
If Pro Mountain Biker Ned Overend had of won the 2016 National fatboy championship he may have been ranked higher, but instead he won the 2015 Pro race at age 59 and against some of the best mountain bike riders in the world. But seriously this guy is a gun and in my opinion should be doing more open Pro racers around the world to inspire others just how young 60 is because he isn't just holding his own out there. Overend has made us rewrite the books on peformance and decline because he shows none.
Brad Hogg
46 years young
8
Melbourne Renagade Professional Cricketer Brad Hogg may look like a first-year rookie and have the energy of a 7-year-old on red cordial, but the 46-year-old youngster just keeps getting better, possibly the best spinner in Australia in my opinion and since his return to Pro Cricket Hogg just seems to get better and better. The T20 Specialist should be bowling for Australia in the upcoming series and beyond if selectors want to actually pick the best squad because Hogg just keeps getting better.

Alicia Ashley
50 years young
9
Alicia Ashley probably only just hit her peak in 2015 winning the world bantam weight boxing title at 48, Ashley seems to get fitter, stronger and quicker every year. Is another world title on the cards for 2017? Anything is possible.

Mark Felix
52 years young
10
Mark Felix is the 2nd strongest Man in Britain and one of the strongest men in the world. A competitor in the Pro Strongman Circuit, Felix just keeps getting stronger and stronger. We can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for Felix.

Alex Cabrera
46 years young
12
Pro Baseball player Alex began playing in the Venezuelan Pro League when he wasn't in playing in Japan. There, he continued to mash, setting the home run record in 2013 at age 42. This past winter, 24 years after he played in his first Minor League game, Alex was still going strong in Venezuela, putting together a .335/.427/.572 line and lead the league in home runs again.

Chris Horner

kimiko date krumm
14
47 years young
Kimiko Date Krumm is living proof that sometimes you just leave the game too early. Krumm left the game far too early only to come back and reach a career high ranking of 28 in the world at 45 years young. Recently Date Krumm has had to deal with a few personal issues off the court but date krumm will be back soon to try and beat her top ranking of 2015.

Adam Vinatieri
45 years young
15
Adam Vinatieri seems to be only hitting his prime
The 45-year-old had made his last 44 field goals, an NFL record, before that ill-fated boot.
If further perspective is needed, Vinatieri's last missed field goal came on September 21, 2015, Week 2 of the last season before finally missing in November 2016. The guy is a gun and seems to only get better. He's a strength nut in the gym and another youngster proving how young 45 is as a pro Athlete.

Kazuyoshi Miura
50 years young
16
Kazuyoshi Miura is a freak, Still the quickest player in his Professional team Miura shows no signs of slowing down and just signed another contract with Yakohama F.C.

Bernard Hopkins
52 years young
17
Bernard Hopkins would have been top 3 on the list if he had of been able to win his last fight against Joe Smith Jnr. Hopkins was leading in the 8th round easily but went into the fight with a bad ankle injury which after some great hit's by Smith Hopkins lost his footing and fell out the ring. Hopkins seemed to hit his peak in his mid 40's but didn't really seem to hit freakish boxing level until he was 48 when he won the Light heavyweight world title then retained it twice at 49. If anyone can fight for a world title there 50's and win Hopkins would be the one.
45 years young
18
Shannon Briggs is a man on a mission and no one it seems is going to stand in his way, since his comeback in 2014 Briggs is undefeated in 10 straight professional matches. If Briggs keeps going the way he is going he is going to head way up this list in 2018.

If Khurram had of played for any other cricketing country he may have been a cricketing superstar, Instead the best player in a country trying to break into the cricketing ranks. In 2014 Khurram became the oldest player to score an ODI hundred as his unbeaten 132 off 79 balls and since then his confidence seems to have only gotten better concentrating now on Professional T20's Leagues instead of international cricket.

If you think Julio Franco finished playing Professional baseball for good when he left the Majors at the young age of 49. Franco got the itch again at 56 and by 57 he had over 10 Pro teams wanting him. Franco ended up in Japan and it seemed like he hadn't lost a step at all. Franco literally ha the body and Athleticism of a Super fit 25 to 35 year old, but maybe that's how we all should be at 58. Franco is now playing in the Pro leagues in Korea a of this season.

49 years young
23

I will be surprised if Kasai doesn't get atleast one gold at the next Olympics.

But Butch has been playing Professional Basketball for over 25 years and in one of the many always strong Australian Pro League for the Maitland Mustungs.
